Rose water is a pure distillation from the silken petals of the delicate Moroccan Atlas Rose.
Voluptuous, Irresistible, Deep.
Rose water bestows an exuberant flavour upon teas, smoothies, ices, cakes and pastries. Our Rose water has a heady, decadent perfume that beautifies a range of dishes and desserts. A simple tisane may be made with hot water and a touch of this gorgeous floral water.
Alongside its culinary accoutrements, Rose water is traditionally used to tone, hydrate and soothe skin. Direct application with pure cotton wool to the face is delightfully balancing and calming.
Resplendent Rose water enchants with a voluptuous and irresistible perfume accented by a deeply-layered journey of opulent flavour.
For centuries Rose water has enjoyed pride of place at the heart of Moroccan hospitality. Traditionally, guests are greeted in private homes with the pouring of refreshing Rose water over their hands or by the offer of warm rose-infused hand towels. As a symbol of femininity and love, bridal parties are strewn with rose petals throughout and the atmosphere accented with the fine fragrance of rose.
Our Rose water originates from the bloom-filled valley of Kelaat M’gouna in the Ouarzazate Province of Morocco. Between April and June, the rose buds unfurl to reveal their lush vivid hues and open their soft tousled petals in an enigmatic display, carpeting the entire valley. The famed annual Rose Festival is dedicated to the celebration of each abundant crop of wild Atlas roses; exuberant displays of local Amazigh culture and music accompany the coronation of a blushing Rose Queen.
MEANS OF PRODUCTION
Our Rose water is produced by artisan farmers from traditional co-operatives who joyfully collect dew-soaked flower heads by hand at dawn. Our Rose water is crafted by steeping rose petals in fresh spring water and capturing their beautiful natural aroma through a traditional steam distillation method.
Rose water is naturally abundant in health-boosting flavonoids and antioxidants.
